Famous comic book collector Nicolas Cage has signed on for another adaptation of a comic, joining Nathan Lane, Donald Sutherland, Bill Nighy and Eugene Levy in the voice cast of Astro Boy. The movie's based on the story created by manga legend Osamu Tezuka, that of a scientist who, grieving the death of his son, creates a robot child to replace him. Astro Boy (who will be voiced by The Spiderwick Chronicles's Freddie Highmore) can't fulfill the man's expectations, so he wanders off on his own, where he becomes a powerful superhero who must save the world from nefarious aliens. It's scheduled for release in 2009 … In other casting news, Kevin Spacey will lead the ensemble cast of Shrink, about a therapist who struggles to treat his patients after a personal tragedy leaves him unable to deal with his own life. Robin Williams, Griffin Dunne, Robert Loggia and Gore Vidal are also in the cast. Robert Loggia? GORE VIDAL?
